Day six of the commonwealth games saw Team Malawi putting up some impressive performance which have given Malawians hope that Team Malawi can bring home medals from the 2022 commonwealth games.
So far the going is getting tough for Team Malawi as no medal has been won on day six of the tournament.
Since the inception of the Commonwealth games in 1930, Malawi has taken part in the games 12 times, participating in each event since 1970. Malawi has only three commonwealth bronze medals all coming from boxing.
MNCS is of the view that once sports administrators are able to plan strategically, manage their resources and are able to generate resources for their activities sport in the country will be able to develop and be promoted.
The selective camping has started today and will finish on 23 July, 2022.
Participants in the course included 17 teachers from both primary and secondary schools and 15 participants from the communities. After the course the participants were each awarded a certificate.
The target is to have 247 athletes form 11 sporting disciplines representing Malawi during the Lilongwe games.
