Speaking after the game interim coach Samuel Kanyenda explained that Fiji was an improved side comparing to previous encounters

‘’The game plan we had in place did not come into fruition because Fiji was stronger compared to the last time we played them, we planned to rest some players but that was not possible because Fiji was too strong. We know we have to play Australia tomorrow, we are ready for the game,’’ explained Kanyenda.

The result means the Queens are second in group F stage two of the 2023 netball world cup behind Australia who defeated Scotland 76 – 37. The Queens will next play the world number one ranked netball team Australia tomorrow from 11:00 am at the Cape Town International Convention Center.
