TABITHA CHAWINGA HONOURED IN FRENCH WOMEN’S LEAGUE

Tabitha Chawinga, the captain of the Malawi women’s national football team and a player for Paris Saint-Germain feminin in the French women’s league D1 Arkema, has been honoured with the Union des Nationale Professional Footballers (UNFP) women’s player of the season and best forward awards.

She has also been named in the 2023-2024 team of the season, making her the first Malawian to achieve this feat. This recognition follows her outstanding performance this season for PSG Feminin where she has been on fire in league D1 Arkema and the women’s Champions League.

Last season in Italy, she won the top goal scorer award while on loan playing for Inter Milan from Wuhan Jiangda of China. Chawinga has consistently been the top goal scorer in China and all the European leagues she has played in.
