MNCS CEO CONTINUES TO HOLD MEETINGS WITH SPORTS ASSOCIATIONS

The Chief Executive Officer of the Malawi National Council of Sports, Dr Henry Kamata, will be visiting the MNCS Northern Region office on Friday. The purpose of his visit is to meet with staff members of the northern region.

While he is in the northern region, Dr Kamata will also take the opportunity to meet with some sports associations at Illala Crest Lodge starting from 9:00 am to discuss sports development-related issues.

This follows his recent meetings with seven sports associations in Lilongwe at the Kamuzu Institute for sports, two weeks ago.

While in Mzuzu he will meet with the Lawn Tennis Association at 09:am, followed by a meeting with the Cycling Association of Malawi at 10:00am. At 11:00 am, he will meet with the Basketball Association of Malawi (BASMAL), and his meetings will conclude with the Pool Association of Malawi at noon.

Since his appointment, Dr Kamata has already met over 20 sports associations. During these meetings, he has discussed various issues, such as grassroots development, accountability of resources, plans and implementation strategies of the associations, resource mobilization drives as well challenges they are facing.  

The meetings are part of Dr Kamata’s effort to familiarize himself with the sports associations
