Squash Players off to Zimbabwe

Malawian Squash athletes Aubrey Taulo and Chimwemwe Mangani have been sponsored by AMG Globe campany to participate in Zimbabwe Squash Open scheduled from 1-4 August in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Former Malawi Squash president, Jimmy Kawaye showed gratitude to AMG Global for paying for transport, accommodation and food expenses for the two players.

“AMG Global has value of squash sport in the country. They have also sponsored national ladies championship for some years. We really appreciate AGM Global for coming in to support squash sport whenever we need a help”, he said.

AMG Global manager, Stern Kandiona said his company is committed to promoting squash in the country.

“As part of our corporate social responsibility, we have been sponsoring squash tournaments in the country in the past few years. As such, when we heard that two of squash players are to represent the country in Zimbabwe, we did not hesitate but to come in and offer what we can afford”, he said.

Kandiona added that he challenges the players to represent the country by winning medals.
