The Malawi academy of sport is an initiative that was put in place by Council to facilitate the development of sport in Malawi at the grass root level.
The Academy targets the youth below the age of 18. It is currently being offered in three centers namely the Blantyre Youth Center in the southern region, Kamuzu Institute for Sport in the central region and at Katoto ground in the Northern Region. Over 600 young athletes from the ages of six to 18 are currently involved in the program.
