The Malawi Women’s cricket national team will participate in the 10th edition of the Kwibuka Cup, an 8-nation T20 women’s cricket event organised by the Rwanda Cricket Association. The event will take place in Kigali, Rwanda, from May 29th to June 8th, 2024.

This will be the first time the Malawi women’s cricket team has been invited to the event since its inception in 2014. The event is being held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Rwanda genocide and is considered an essential occasion for the people of Rwanda.

Other countries competing in the event include host Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Bostwana, Nigeria, Cameroon and Zimbabwe.

The complete squad list includes Vanesa Phiri(captain), Lidia Dimba (vice-captain), Tadala Mpandakwaya, Ketrina Chingaipe, Mercy Kudimba, Nellie Gamaliyele, Sophina Chinawa, Sungeni Kananji, Lucy Malino, Praise Maziya, Alinafe Alfonso, Tricia Chabila, and Triphonia Luka.
