In the second game, Malawi lost to Zambia 8-1. In the third game, Malawi lost to Uganda 8-1 before losing to Zambia in the fourth and final game 6-0.

This was Malawi’s first time participating in the Zambezi Test Series, following the recent outdoor ranking by the International Hockey Federation (IHF). Malawi is ranked 95th globally and 10th in Africa.

The test series was initially planned to involve four countries – Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Uganda. However, Zimbabwe withdrew at the last minute due to some challenges.
