The race was introduced in order to encourage long distance running, it takes place in the city of Blantyre every year in June.

From NBS Bank Ginnery Corner round about, Shoprite round about, Keza, Njamba round about, TVM, St. Columba CCAP Church, Nkolokosa, Kudya, Zingwangwa, Stella Maris Turn, Money men, Catholic Institute, Victoria Avenue National Bank, Mount Soche Hotel, Kandodo Corner shop, Mbayani , Chirimba, Kameza Round About, Machinjiri turn off, Luanda, Area 5, Nkolokoti Pimary shool, Khama trading, Makhetha, Peletiya, Lever Brothers, Maselema round about, Independence Arch, Shoprite round about, turn right and take the Ndirande road, Finish in the Stadium through the Main Gate, turn right at the running track and FINISHINING at VIP Stand.
