SPORT FOR ALL GOES TO PHALOMBE

After launching the Sport for All Program in all the three regions across the country, the Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) has embarked on follow up activities in order to ensure that there is mass participation and sustainability of the program.

On Thursday 20 October, 2022 MNCS will conduct a Sport for All event at Mpasa CDSS in Traditional Authority (T/A) Mkhumba in Phalombe district from 13:00 hours. The aim of the event is to follow up on the Southern region launch that took place at Thyolo Secondary school in April this year and to encourage the citizenly to continue taking part in sport and physical exercises.

The theme for Thursday event is ‘’ Promoting safe and inclusive sport in Malawi’’ and the Acting Executive Secretary for Malawi National Council of Sports Shephord Boma will be the guest of honor at the event.mm

Activities that will take place on the day include, football (men and women), fly, Aerobics, fish-fish, Netball, Tug of war, traditional dances and many other activities.

Currently the council has embarked in conducting different Sport For All activities in all the regions across the country in order to continue encouraging the citizenly to take part in sport and physical exercises.

Sport for All is designed to promote and encourage sport participation by all Malawians regardless of gender, ability or age and at the same time raising awareness on the importance and benefits of taking part in sport and physical activities.

Sport for All is also designed to help the citizenly have strong bodies which resist to diseases which occur because an individual is not physically active. MNCS believes that only a healthy citizen can contribute positively to the national development agenda.
