SPORT FOR ALL GOES TO NKHATA BAY

After launching the Sport for All Program in all the three regions across the country, the Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) has embarked on follow up activities in order to ensure that there is mass participation and sustainability of the program.

On Thursday 11 August, 2022 MNCS will conduct a Sport for All event at Traditional Authority Kambuduli in NKhata Bay district from 13:00 hours. The aim of the event is to follow up on the launch that took place at Uliwa primary school in Karonga and to encourage the citizenly to continue taking part in sport and physical exercises.

Activities that will take place on the day include netball, football, wheelchair race, fly, traditional dances to be performed by inmates of NKhata Bay prison, walking race for the elderly and many other activities.

MNCS introduced the Sport for All program with the aim of encouraging the citizenly to take part in sport and physical activities regardless of gender, age or ability. MNCS is of the view that only healthy citizens can contribute positively to the development of the country.
