MNCS TO ASSIST PARALYMPIC STAR

Jul 15, 2023 | News

The Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) led by its Chairperson Dr. Sunduzwayo Madise will today donate money worth MK1,000,000 to Paralympic star Mphatso Saukile to help him rebuild his house which was destroyed by Cyclone Freddy earlier this year.

The donation will take place at Matawale in Zomba from 10:00 am and is coming in at a time when the Council noticed that Saukile is struggling to rebuild his house by himself as he is lacking resources. During the Be More race in Lilongwe Standard Bank assisted the Paralympic star with MK1,000,000.

Mphatso Saukile is Paralympic (Visually Impaired) shot distance runner. He won gold during the African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5 youth games in Lilongwe and he also won silver at the 2023 Paralympic world youth games in Italy earlier this year.

MNCS is hoping that the private sector and well wishers will come in to support Saukile rebuild his home.
