Chilemba to Bounce Back

MALAWI’S top boxer, Isaac ‘Golden boy Chilemba wants to bounce back strongly with a possible fight slated for June 4, 2019.

“We are working on the fight which might happen in June or earlier but they are not yet confirmed.
As soon as this is confirmed, I will make proper announcements.

My management team is busy discussing possible deals’, The South African-based Malawian boxer, said.

Chilemba has not fought since losing a world boxing association world Light Heavyweight title bout on August 4 2018 to Dmitry Bivol in the United States.

The 31-year-old boxer has, however, been training hard in anticipation of a fight.

“I have been in the gym boxing and sparring every now and then. I have also been running and conditioning just to stay in shape.

Chilemba has in his career posted 25 wins including 10 knockouts, six defeats and two draws. In 2005, he left Malawi for South Africa and has won titles such as the World Boxing Council (Africa) World Boxing International and African Boxing Union light heavyweight
